In the middle of the night
Paul and Silas were in prison
Yes, their faith had been shaken
But it truly was not broken
They remembered the power of praise

Singing a song of victory
They began to worship the Lord
God hears the songs of Joy
All the chains are broken loose
And the angel sets them free!

Can you feel the might earthquake start to tremble in this place?
The walls of hell are crushing down
You feel thus power from head to toe
And every chain and force of evil
Will now be gone and be destroyed
When there is praise, we know that we'll move the heart of God!

All the people were surprised
Not knowing what to expect
Paul is preaching in the ruins
Everyone is so amazed
To see the wonders God has done

When the Christians were persecuted
They knew the Lord was by their side
If the chains are as twice as strong
We'll just praise God with the song
And watch the chains go breaking loose
